Members convene at GIIA’s first Meeting Hub & Members Lounge in Berlin, alongside Global Summit

March 31, 2026

Guests at GIIAs first Meeting Hub & Members Lounge stand to register for happy hour on Tuesday of the global summit

More than 1100 infrastructure investment leaders – including both GIIA members and guests – have taken advantage of our flagship ‘work, connect and relax’ space alongside the Global Summit.

Responding to calls from our members for something extra during Berlin week, our venue at the Grand Hyatt – linked to the summit by a seamless shuttle service – was abuzz on Tuesday and Wednesday as investors met to do business, converse, and recharge.

The two-day event reflected the ‘must have’ ask of our members for high-quality facilities, to support the ‘must do’ of attending what is widely recognised as our industry’s largest global gathering.

Among the highlights of our offer was a very popular Happy Hour on Tuesday evening, during which members celebrated a first day of conference business with delicious local canapés, wine, beer and bubbles.

On Wednesday morning, selected invitees attended a briefing on European defence infrastructure, led by PwC. At a time when national and international security is top of the geopolitical agenda, participants came away better informed about clearer pathways to private investment opportunities.

Across both days, our Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors took advantage of calm, professional meeting spaces to bring together GP and LP investors, advisory firms and stakeholders alike, from as far afield as New Zealand, the Middle East and North America. Barista coffee and good food kept people refuelled throughout.

Thanks to our ever-growing membership since launch in 2016, GIIA has continued to expand its capability and reach. It has now become ‘the global voice of infrastructure investors.  As we begin to mark our 10th anniversary year – with new branding and a new website – we are planning a global program of events throughout 2026 that will convene members around the world, including in America, Canada, the UK, Brussels and leading EU member states, and in APAC.

And looking further ahead, we are developing ideas to further convene GPs and LPs in 2027. Please do tell us what you want, by responding to a short questionnaire that can be found via this link.

We are deeply grateful to all the sponsors that made GIIA Berlin possible, including Arcus, Stonepeak, Infracapital, Icon Infrastructure, Quinbrook, Digital Bridge, Novacap, DTCP, SwissLife, Basalt Infrastructure Partners, CBRE Investment Management, Blackstone, Harrison Street Asset Management, BCG, Argo Infrastructure Partners, PwC, I Squared, Equitix, IFM Investors, Nuveen Infrastructure, Vision Edge One, With Intelligence by S&P Global, UBS and Travers Smith.
