Berlin Meeting Hub & Members Lounge FAQ
When does the Members Lounge open?
- GIIA’s inaugural Meeting Hub and Members Lounge opens its doors to Members at 8am Tuesday 24 March. Members can expect a light breakfast and a champagne toast to celebrate the opening of the lounge.
- On Wednesday 25 March, the lounge will also open its doors at 8am.
When does the Members Lounge close?
- The doors will close at 6 pm on Tuesday after a networking and drinks happy hour starting at 5 pm, generously sponsored by PWC and Travers Smith.
- The Lounge will close at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, with a complementary shuttle service waiting to take members to the Allianz forum for GIIA’s annual Berlin Member Reception.
Where is the GIIA Meeting Hub and Members Lounge?
- Our Meeting Hub and Members Lounge will be located at The Grand Hyatt Berlin, Marlene-Dietrich-Platz 2, 10785 Berlin, Germany.
- The Members Lounge will be open in the Grand Ballroom, with separate sponsored meeting rooms nearby. Event staff will be present at the registration desk to help way find and answer any questions you might have.
What can I do in the Members Lounge
- Think of the GIIA Members Lounge as your home away from home as you attend the Berlin Global Summit. Members can use the space to convene, charge their phones, meet with colleagues, network, relax, and unwind.
- Grab a quick coffee before you head off to the conference, or stay a while for GIIA’s catered breakfasts, lunches, and happy hours, generously sponsored by our Members, while you work or recharge during the conference.
When will food and coffee be available?
- Complementary hand-crafted barista coffee and light bites will be available throughout the day. For more information on our catered meals and sponsored happy hour, view our complete event schedule.
I have dietary requirements, should I let you know?
- We appreciate that all members may have different dietary requirements, and we will be on site to offer support during the Lounge’s open hours. To avoid disappointment, use the events form on our website to pre-register and let us know if you have any specific needs or requests.
Do I need to register ahead of time for the Members Lounge?
- To avoid delay, and to gather your preferences, Members are encouraged to preregister using our booking form. Sponsors, guests and preregistered members will have their badges ready for them at the desk. However, we will have event staff on site to help you register and print you a badge.
Does any of this cost money?
- No. Our one-of-a-kind Meeting Hub and Lounge is free to all GIIA Members to bring together global senior leaders in infrastructure investment, non-member sponsors and their guests.
