GIIA submission to Canada's National Infrastructure Assessment

The government of Canada recently launched an Engagement Paper on Canada’s first National Infrastructure Assessment: Building the Canada We Want in 2050. This document sets out the reason and benefit of conducting an infrastructure assessment and strives for input from indigenous peoples, provinces, and private stakeholders on its 3 main priorities:

  • Assessing Canada’s infrastructure needs and establishing a long-term vision
  • Improving coordination among infrastructure owners and funders
  • Determining the best ways to fund and finance infrastructure.

GIIA was pleased to make a submission focusing on the opportunities for the Canadian Government to leverage private capital.
