Guglielmo Valastro joins GIIA with a background in economic research and financial services, bringing a strong interest in the policy conditions that shape investment.
Prior to joining GIIA, he was a pre-doctoral researcher at the London School of Economics. His research has examined how political institutions and European integration affect sovereign borrowing costs and investment across European economies. Earlier in his career, Guglielmo worked at Fidelity International, where he gained experience in the investment industry and obtained the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
He holds a master’s degree in political economy of Europe from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Royal Holloway, University of London.
