GIIA welcomes new Policy and Public Affairs Executive
Our team grows as we welcome Alexander Lopez as the newest member of GIIA's Policy & Public Affairs Team.
GIIA is pleased to welcome Alexander Lopez as our Policy & Public Affairs Executive. Alexander brings experience in public policy and government relations, particularly in the energy sector.
He joins GIIA from the World Energy Council, where he worked on government relations and global policy initiatives, supporting strategic projects in the energy sector. He has also worked with The Borgen Project, leading lobbying efforts, and Oxfam Intermón in Madrid, providing global security analysis.
Originally from the United States, Alexander holds a Master’s in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor’s in International Relations from the Suffolk University Madrid Campus. He has lived, studied, and worked across the US, UK, Spain, and Japan, and is fluent in English and Spanish, with proficiency in Japanese.
Alexander will be working with our team to support GIIA’s mission in making the case for private investment in infrastructure across the world through evidence-based policy positions and advocacy.
