Ontario’s Energy Infrastructure: The Road Ahead

Canada is having its infrastructure moment – and the capital opportunity is real. AI is triggering the largest infrastructure buildout since the formation of the modern power grid, and Canada's geographic advantage for clean energy, have put it firmly on the map for large-scale digital and energy investment.

A federal government that has moved decisively to partner with institutional capital – launching a $25 billion sovereign wealth fund, clean energy tax credits, and a dedicated Major Projects Office – is turning intent into investable pipeline. But challenges remain: power constraints, permitting timelines, and a domestic project pipeline still catching up to the scale of available capital.

This event features a fireside chat with Michael Fedchyshyn, CEO – Building Ontario Fund, and a panel that will be led by moderator Rene Lubianski, Managing Partner at Brookfield and panelists Stephen Zucchet, Managing Director at OMERS, Geoff Hayes, Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal and Krista Hill, Partner at Torys LLP. It will cover what matters most: where are the genuine returns, what makes an opportunity truly investable, and how do you deploy at scale in a market moving fast?
