Infrastructure and its role in a decarbonised world - The next two decades

With nearly a trillion dollars of assets hard at work serving communities on six continents, GIIA investor members have shaped the way billions of people communicate, travel, light and heat their homes, access water and manage data.

This webinar will look at how infrastructure has developed as an asset class and, as the world emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic and moves towards a zero-carbon future, how infrastructure investors & their asset managers must adapt; and the impact this could have on portfolio structures.

The panel will address the future for brownfield investments as well as appraising the outlook for new build investments across sectors such as energy, digital & transport, along with the impact of new technologies on existing infrastructure assets.

Further, the panel will discuss expectations around investment and returns over the coming decades. Geographically the panel will look at issues covering the USA and Europe + UK.

The event will commence with the launch of the 2021 EY/GIIA Global Asset Database which will set the scene for the webinar.
