EU Policy Working Group
In recent weeks, GIIA has been actively engaging with the administration of the new President of the European Commission.
On Wednesday 25 March, Lawrence Slade, CEO and Jon Phillips, Corporate Affairs Director held a highly constructive teleconference-call with members of President von-der Leyen’s Cabinet and officials including Valeria Miceli, Policy Coordinator for Financial Services and Miguel Tetre, Head of European Strategic Investments.

- Consultations: GIIA will be responding to Commission’s public consultations on the European Climate Pact (open) and the Green Finance Strategy (to be published). We will be sharing drafts with the group for input shortly.
- Virtual workshop: GIIA has secured the agreement in principle for a workshop with senior European Commission officials, focussed on the incentives that investors require in order to make the Green Deal a success. We will be preparing a workshop abstract with member input ahead of that by mid-April.
We propose therefore to hold an EU Policy Working Group member teleconference-call to obtain your input on these actions as we continue this important strategic dialogue.
