Our story

“Private investors are providing the innovative infrastructure needed to deliver a net zero, digitalised global economy to the benefit of current and future generations.”

GIIA was established in 2016 to improve engagement between members, politicians, policymakers and regulators with the aim of increasing much needed investment in infrastructure.

We now have close to 100 members with $1.65 trillion of assets under management, bringing together a wider range of global investors and expert advisors to the sector.

Through an ambitious programme of evidence-based advocacy, thought leadership and global events, we promote an environment where private investment is encouraged and able to contribute positively to economic, social and environmental goals.

We build understanding of the positive role played by private investors in long-term projects, shaping policies that facilitate funding needed for decarbonised, connected infrastructure networks.
